Environmental Law
Environmental law is a fast-developing area, often intersecting with construction, administrative and civil law. At PRK we have the scale and experience needed to advise on both environmental issues and the whole range of related areas. We have worked on many large development projects, industrial investments and projects involving permitting procedures, energy units and other issues. We can address specific questions such as how best to deal with brownfield sites, protected areas and the conflict between environmental protection and mining activities. Furthermore, we regularly cooperate with leading technical experts from the field of environmental protection to offer a complete package of services.

We provided legal advice to a developer in the initial phase of a tender for the purchase of land in a development zone. This included carrying out a comprehensive analysis of landfill restrictions, mining activities, emissions requirements and traffic limits.
We advised a client on the use of a brownfield area as a MAERSK railway cargo terminal. Since 2017 the terminal has been connected to a number of ports, including Koper, Bremerhaven and Trieste, and handles around 100,000 containers per year.
We represent Euro Manganese Inc., a Canadian company, and its Czech operating subsidiary Mangan Chvaletice, s.r.o., in an extensive environmental reclamation and manganese extraction project in the Czech Republic.
We advised a global provider of e-mobility solutions in connection with its entry into the Czech market, particularly regulatory and consumer protection issues.
We advised a cosmetics company on packaging and labelling products from the perspective of waste management, consumer protection and health regulations, covering both Czech and European legislation.
