François Veit


Before joining PRK Partners as equity partner, François Veit was resident partner of the Gide Loyrette Nouel office in Prague between 2000 and 2010. He specialises in mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property and real estate. François obtained a Master of Laws degree from Harvard Law School, a master’s degree in criminal law from the University of Paris II – Panthéon Assas, a master’s degree in musicology (Sorbonne University Paris IV) and a degree in philosophy (Sorbonne University Paris I).

François has been a member of the Paris Bar since 1990 and of the Czech Bar since 2000.

For a number of years he was vice-president of the Franco-Czech Chamber of Commerce and vice president of the Czech section of the "Conseillers du Commerce extérieur de la France". He also sits on the Board of Directors of the Harvard Club of Prague.

He is co-author of the book "Media Law and Intellectual Property Law in the Czech Republic".

François has also been involved in media and entertainment law, art dealing in France and in Central Europe.

In this context, he has advised companies such as Universal Studio, France Télévisions, numerous musicians (Pink Martini and others), actors and other artists, and prestigious cultural institutions like the Louvre Museum, Paris Opera, Comédie Française, Centre Georges Pompidou, Festival d'Aix-en-Provence, etc. He was nominated Chevalier des Arts et Lettres by the French Ministry of Culture.

François is listed and recommended as a leading practitioner in the areas of corporate law, banking and finance, real estate in numerous directories and publications, including Chambers Europe, The European Legal 500, Legal Experts and PLC Which Lawyer?.
