PRK assisted Eurosérum all along the disposal process

Following a strategic review, Eurosérum decided to sell its international operations to simplify its industrial footprint and to focus on high value-added nutritional ingredients.

Fully-owned by Sodiaal, the leading French dairy cooperative (with 4,7 billion liters of milk collected in 2019), Eurosérum is specialized in whey and milk drying and processing (300,000 tons per year of dairy ingredients) with applications in infant formula and food processing (ice creams, milk drinks, bakery, pastries etc.). The company operates 9 facilities in France and, until August 2020, one in Czech Republic, which produced 15,000 tons of whey annually.

After a competitive process, the Eastern European activities of Eurosérum were sold to Eligo. Eligo is a Czech company also engaged in the drying & processing of dairy products and which, in addition to being locally anchored, has a robust industrial project for the site.

Senior counsel Marta Donizeau from PRK assisted Eurosérum all along the disposal process: advising during tender and due diligence stages, drafting pre-transaction and transaction documents, assisting Euroserum during negotiations, closing and post-closing stages of the transaction.
