Roman Pecenka is a Partner at PRK Partners specialising in real estate, contractual obligations, mergers and acquisitions and energy law. In his legal practice, Roman has extensive long-term experience in providing legal advisory services to international clients transacting in the Czech Republic and in representing local clients abroad. He regularly lectures on real estate, contractual obligations and energy law.

Roman obtained a Master’s degree (Mgr.) from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague in 2001; he also studied law at the University of Toulouse in France. In 2005, Roman was admitted as an attorney at law to the Czech Bar Association.

Before joining PRK Partners in January 2010, Roman worked in the Prague office of leading Paris-based international law firm, Gide Loyrette Nouel (2001–2010).

His recent mandates include legal assistance to France-based B&B Hotels, Europe’s third-largest budget hotel chain, on the sale and leaseback of its B&B hotel in Prague to Primonial Group, a leading French real-estate asset manager across Europe; representing METRO properties in connection with a sale-and-leaseback transaction of three MAKRO Cash & Carry stores in Prague; legal advice to Wenaasgruppen AS, a significant, family-owned investor from Scandinavia, in connection with its acquisition of the iconic Hotel Don Giovanni in Prague, in the form of a share deal; legal assistance to Martin Barry, a New York-based landscape architect, in connection with a corporate restructuring that included preparation for further development and the entry of a strategic investor from the Rockaway Group into the very successful Manifesto Market project in Prague; legal assistance to a Czech private investor in connection with the acquisition of Green Tower, a Prague office complex located, from P3, an established, pan-European warehouse developer; and many others.

In addition to his native Czech, Roman is fluent in English and French.
