Expo Osaka 2025
It might seem that the year 2025 is quite far away, but we at PRK Partners are already engaged in projects scheduled for that year. Most recently, we have started work on management of the Expo 2025 event, to be held in Osaka, Japan.
Our team led by Jakub Lichnovsky, partner, & Jaroslava Malcova, senior attorney, is representing the Office of the Commissioner General for the Czech Republic's participation in the World EXPO (in Czech: Kancelář generálního komisaře účasti České republiky na Všeobecné světové výstavě EXPO), whom we provide legal advice regarding a public contract - design contest & construction of a new pavilion of the Czech Republic in Osaka.
We are grateful to be able to work on such a prestigious project for the benefit of the Czech Republic, especially following the great recognition of the Czech Republic at the last Expo in Dubai, where it received a best innovation award for the S.A.W.E.R technology (technology used for extracting water from desert air, developed by the University Centre for Energy Efficient Buildings in cooperation with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Czech Technical University in Prague).
On 12th December 2022, the selection process for an architect to design the Czech pavilion kicked off. The winner is to be announced in the course of March 2023. Following the selection, work toward building the pavilion will commence.
With regard to the construction project in Japan & general Japanese legal advice, we are glad to be able to rely on Nishimura & Asahi, who are providing the most important information on execution of the project in Japan.
