PRK teams in Czechia and Slovakia advised – alongside Freshfields teams from the Vienna, Madrid, Milan and Paris offices  - TriStone Flowtech Holding S.A.S. (Tristone) and various of its subsidiaries within the Tristone Group, an international automotive supplier owed by Zhongding (China), on Czech and Slovak law aspects of a €80 million refinancing, which also involved six other jurisdictions (France, Spain, Italy, Poland, Turkey and Mexico).

The funds were used for the repayment of existing financing with the remainder to be put towards the Tristone Group’s working capital and general corporate purposes. The Freshfields team in the Vienna office acted as lead counsel, co-ordinating work across the eight jurisdictions on a German-law facilities agreement and a diverse security package covering share security under French, Italian, Spanish, Polish, Czech, Slovak and Mexican law and other security under German, Polish, Czech and Slovak law as well as a hard letter of comfort from the Chinese parent company.  PRK advised on the creation of the Czech and Slovak law security packages.
