PRK Partners advised J&T Banka in connection with EUR 68,000,000 loan

PRK Partners advised J&T BANKA (represented by Pavol Martiska) in connection with EUR 68,000,000 loan financing for the family-run Julius Meinl Living Group operating “The Julius Prague” hotel, which is based on a unique concept of living spaces suitable for long-term stays. The financing provided enabled the Julius Meinl Living Group to refinance an important part of its existing external and intra-group indebtedness and to repay a maturing Luxembourg bond issue.

Our legal services consisted of drafting and negotiating the loan agreement and security documentation, issuing a legal opinion, assisting in monitoring compliance with the drawdown conditions and the fulfilment of the subsequent conditions, and coordinating legal advice provided by Maltese legal advisors with respect to security documents governed by Maltese law. The mandate was completed in November 2024.

The PRK Partners’ lawyers advising on this deal – Daniel Rosicky, Tomáš Bureš and Vaclav Sara – were praised by a representative of the Julius Meinl Living Group for their commercial approach and mindset. The borrower was advised by attorneys from Glatzova and Co.
