New partner Michal Matějka joins PRK Partners

Michal Matějka

PRK Partners, attorneys at law, announces the appointment of a new partner, Michal Matějka, effective 1 October 2018.
He will be responsible for the rapidly growing sector of IT/ICT law. His previous career includes 17 years with the international law firm Baker & McKenzie.

Michal specializes in information and communication technology law, intellectual property law and related dispute resolution. He is a highly experienced expert in commercial contract law and international trade law. Michal serves as an arbitrator in alternative dispute resolution proceedings in .cz and generic top-level domain name cases (UDRP).

Michal holds a Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of Economics and earned a Master’s Degree in Law (Mgr.) and a Doctoral Degree (JUDr.) from the Faculty of Law of Charles University. He regularly lectures on ICT and intellectual property law at the Faculty of Information Technology of Czech Technical University and the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague.

Systematic strengthening of the IT and ICT teams is a strategic priority for the specialized team of 18 Czech and Slovak partners at PRK Partners, the recipient of significant law firm awards in 2008-2017 and a member of the international association Lex Mundi. This is the second time our team of partners was strengthened in 2018. In February 2018, Monika Mašková, who specializes in providing legal advice to pharmaceutical, healthcare and food-processing industries, was named partner.
