Peter Oravec is a Partner at PRK Partners specialising in corporate, competition, mergers and acquisitions and energy law.
He earned his Master's degree in law from the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague and holds a Doctorate degree (JUDr.) from Comenius University in Bratislava. He worked as an associate for 10 years in the Bratislava office of a leading English law firm.
Peter filed the first cartel leniency application in Slovakia. He has represented clients during dawn raids by the Slovak Antimonopoly Office and during cartel investigations and subsequent judicial review litigations before Slovak courts. Peter has done fair competition reviews/internal investigations for clients and regularly provides trainings in competition law and model dawn raids.
He is also experienced in dominance and merger-control work (in the end of 2011 Peter completed the implementation of a remedy imposed by the Slovak Antimonopoly Office – one of the first EU remedies models implemented in Slovakia).
Peter has been recommended as a leading practitioner in the Competition/Antitrust sector and Corporate and Commercial by the respected legal directory Chambers Europe, as well as other important directories.
He is an attorney at law of the Slovak Bar Association.
Peter is fluent in Slovak, English and Czech.
